Be part of the solution

Did you know that one in six New Yorkers doesn't have enough money for food? Or that 47% of the children in the Bronx are hungry? In 2015, 37% of food pantries in the New York area turned people away because they ran out of food.

Change Matters is a resource pipeline for making food available to people who need it.  Two initiatives have begun.  We are creating coin collection arcades to capture the change that people ‘hate’ to carry around, for the purpose of generating a new funding stream in the fight against hunger.

Monies collected will support area food pantries and soup kitchens.  And we have launched a “Pay It Forward NYC’ initiative, starting with Sal and Carmine Pizza on the Upper West Wide: buy two slices – one for yourself and one for a hungry stranger.  Each person’s small deeds aggregating for large impacts.

New Yorkers helping New Yorkers.  Taking action to make sure that no one goes to bed hungry.
